Aerith is a character I never conceived myself as - I didn’t feel like I could embody someone who felt so much bigger than me. But I’d grown to really love Final Fantasy VII and wanted to pay tribute to that, so I challenged myself. This build pushed me not only outside of my comfort zone but also my skills with self-patterning, sewing with difficult fabrics, and collaborating prop work. The jacket is a purchased base I altered for fit and accuracy, but I'm planning to eventually draft my own along with revising the dress.
