✦ ABOUT THE BUILD ✦
One of my all-time favourite cosplays and my first ambitious project as a young cosplayer! This cosplay is a mixture of purchased pieces and original construction. The corset was purchased and modified by me with eyelets, ribbon, and paint to closely match Miku's original design. I self-drafted the arm pieces and skirt bow myself. Along with the hair accessory and ballet flats, all accessories were assembled by me. The skirt was the most challenging bit of the project, but I deconstructed several purchased tutus and sewed them back together to come up with this tiered skirt design! It's not a 1:1 replica of the original Etoile dress, but this was the first time I realized that a cosplay didn't always need to be. The additional bits of lace, trims, and ruffles instead of pleats give it an elegant look that I absolutely love even more than the original!
