✦ ABOUT THE BUILD ✦
This purchased costume base was a challenge from the start. After months of waiting for my pre-order to arrive, I ultimately received a faulty costume - an improperly sewn skirt and bodice, a shapeless cape. With my limited skills at the time, I deconstructed and reconstructed the major pieces to fix the silhouette and fit. Once salvaged, I went all-in on embellishments: fully hand-sewed the neckline, sleeves, hairpieces, and bodice with 8 different kinds of lace (some hand-dyed), added crystals and pearls throughout, and built the light up staff entirely from scratch.
